Zikuan Chen received his BS (in 1885) and MS (in 1988) in physics from Yunnan University and PhD (in 1993) in optical engineering from Nankai University. From1993 to 2008, he successively worked in Nankai University (as a faculty), University of Tennessee (postdoc), University of Arkansas (research associate), University of California-Irvine (research associate), University of Rochester (faculty), and Chinese Northeastern University (faculty). Currently, he joins the Mind Network Research at University of New Mexico as a postdoc fellow, working on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). His research interests including image processing, pattern recognition, optical imaging and medical imaging, especially in cone-beam tomography and MRI.
