Eduardo Castro received his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in 2003 from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. On 2005 he entered the University of New Mexico to do his graduate studies in Computer Engineering. He has worked on different supervised learning algorithms for different applications, such as a movie recommeder system and a classification algorithm for data of a multitask fMRI group study. Currently, he is studing machine learning techniques that can accurately distinguish between healthy controls and schizophrenia patients using fMRI data. On his spare time, he can be seen playing soccer as a rude and not so skilled defender or struggling to make a guitar sound decently.
